My Story

I didn’t realize it at the time, but in the early 1990s when I was recreating some of my favorite skateboard and band logos in MS Paint, I started my path to becoming a designer. In the coming years I taught myself how to use Photoshop, code in HTML/CSS, and film/digital photography. As my skills in these areas advanced, I started doing some small freelance projects creating logos, event flyers, and designing and developing websites for clients.

In 2009, I decided to go back to school and in 2012 graduated with a BS in Web Development and Graphic Design from ECPI University in Virginia Beach. After graduation, I took on various roles between being a web designer/developer and a graphic designer on marketing teams.

My career has been focused on creating impactful visual pieces that build brand identity, drive calls to action, and boost customer engagement. I have spearheaded rebranding projects, developed websites to enrich each user’s experience, collaborated with marketing teams for global brands to create content for social media campaigns, convention booths, and more.

I am currently working as a Graphic Designer with DOWL.
